My name is Matthew Di Giovanni. I am from New Jersey and have been interested in 3D printing and 3D modeling for a large portion of my life.
My first 3D Printer - The Monoprice Select Mini Pro V2, and one of the first things I modeled, a trophy!
I am currently a student at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and I am pursuing a major in Aerospace Engineering and a minor in Astrophysics. I have always loved building and creating things, so a few years ago I realized that 3D printing and modeling would be a great way to do that. I started modeling with Autodesk Tinkercad, a very limiting, but easy-to-use program. I quickly outgrew it and began using Fusion360 and SolidWorks. I am almost fully self-taught, with some help here and there from family members and YouTube. I tend to model whatever comes first in my mind and see where my creativity takes me. I share most of my models on sites such as Printables and Thingiverse. I also love creating functional items so many of my models are designed with that in mind. Currently, I have a Prusa I3 Mk 3s and a Prusa I3 Mk4.
